OVERVIEW:
In this webinar, we help businesses understand all the steps necessary to become a responsible and responsive vendor to the Federal Government, New York State, and New York City Governments.
This webinar will provide:

  • How to get certified with all levels of government

PRESENTER:
Nelson J. Ortiz, Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Director at LaGuardia Community College, funded by the Department of Defense.
Nelson supports small and large businesses and their employees with counseling and training in all aspects of Government contracting with the city, state, and federal agencies. Nelson’s areas of expertise include Government Contracting, Corporate Supplier Diversity, International Procurement Compliance, and small business financing. Nelson has dedicated his career to developing and growing small, minority-owned, women-owned, Veteran-owned, and other economically disadvantaged business enterprises. He led a Global Supplier Diversity program targeting the U.K., U.S., and India in the private sector. Nelson directed and implemented strategic procurement objectives that directly impacted diverse spending increases across multiple lines of business. He leveled the playing field for diverse vendors to compete for opportunities in a billion-dollar supply chain.
